Young, visionary, green lifestyle expert and fun teacher! It's a first for a man to take on the "lifestyle guru" that Martha Stewart popularized.

Danny Seo has grown into teaching people about achieving a green lifestyle from his teenage days. Seo has also grown into spreading his green living message through books, magazines, television, radio and even t-shirts.

When Danny retired from the nonprofit he founded -- Earth 2000 at the age of 19, he had an epiphany: "Why can't green be beautiful? Why can't it be fun? Why can't it be affordable?"

Seo started researching; it was an obsession. "I didn't have a business plan," he said. "I just had thousands of ideas and wanted to share them." By 2006, at age 29 Seo has already produced three lifestyle books, a blog, monthly contributions to Country Home magazine, weekly Sirius satellite radio talk show, a television series on the Lime cable channel...and his multimedia empire continues to grow.

Then there are the books, which Seo considers "more elegant, DIY and crafty." Two titles, "Simply Green Giving" and "Simply Green Parties,"

Seo helps homeowners decorate their homes (in his spare time ;-) ... and purchases that Seo makes are green -- items like energy-efficient flat-screen TVs, organic cotton bedding and custom hemp-upholstered chairs.

His busy schedule has him shuttling between New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Des Moines, Iowa -- but Seo also purchased and is renovating a bungalow in Bucks County, Pa., on the Delaware River.

Seo is also a green consultant, helping companies that want to go green. Hotels that want to expand their concept of the eco-suite, which features amenities such as energy-efficient lighting, sustainably harvested wood furniture and all-natural linens.

And he consuls with Method, the San Francisco firm known for its eco-friendly soaps, cleaners and detergents. The products are made of biodegradable ingredients, while the packaging consists of recyclable materials.
