Eco-Home demonstrates urban ecological living in Los AngelesEco-Home(TM) is an on-going living research center that demonstrates ecological living in an urban environment. The Eco-Home™is a restored and retrofitted California style bungalow, circa 1911 that shows us how simple but wise property improvements can make your home warm, friendly yet environmentally sound and healthy. This historic home incorporates solar hot water heating, photovoltaic panels, ultra low flow water systems and other energy and water conservation measures. This "pioneering" home has hosted over 15,000 guests since opening it's doors to the public in 1988. Going Green Productions has now documented the secrets of the Eco-Home in "Going Green: Every Home an Eco-Home" a DVD hosted by Tony Shaloub. Produced & Written by Mary J. Proteau & Judith Vogelsang. Green Planet founder, Suzanne Harle, "The number one request we get on our website is for films about sustainable living, so now we are especially pleased to be able to offer GOINGGREEN to viewers." Narrated by environmentally aware actor, Tony Shalhoub GOINGGREEN shows us how we can live earth-friendly lives on a limited budget, even in the middle of a city.
