The goal is to keep common animals common and to maintain our quality of life. The approach is to train individuals to become aware of their natural resources and to provide the tools to inventory and monitor their resources.

• The Earth's Evolving Drylands The section geared towards students shows the extent and importance of drylands throughout the world. It describes, in words, images, and activities, the economic, ecological, biodiversity, and cultural aspects of drylands.

• Greenmaps The Green Map System is a global eco-cultural movement of connected, local knowledge, action and responsibility to increase sustainability. Local Green Maps chart the sites of environmental significance in urban places everywhere.

• Plants Database The natural Resources Conservation Service provides an extensive Plants Database in which you can search for fact sheets, about threatened and endangered species, invasive and noxious plants, culturally significant species...and much more.

• Botany.com is the encyclopedia of plants. It provides information regarding the general description of the plants, the various methods of cultivation, such as indoor or outdoor planting, soil and temperature requirements, pruning, and other important details, the means of propagation (seeds, cuttings, division, etc.), and the different varieties and hybrids.

• plantkingdom.com is a brief introduction into the taxonomic world of the plant kingdom. The plant kingdom taxonomic tree in its most basic form is divided into the cellular plants (mosses, liverworts, and hornworts, etc.) and into the vascular plants. The vascular plants are further divided into the spore producing plants and the seed producing plants. Those are the 3 primary divisions that plantkingdom.com deals with, each of which breaks down into hundreds of further divisions.
